About the show

A conversation that started at our kitchen table.

A husband and wife laughing at the kitchen table

Leftovers & Life is a husband-and-wife podcast about the conversations that happen around the edges of everyday life — after the plates are cleared, when the kids are loud, when the meal didn't go as planned, and when there's still something good left on the table.

We talk about faith, family, food, marriage, parenting, funny moments, hard lessons, and the ordinary rhythms that shape a meaningful life.

The show grew out of years of weeknight dinners in our own house — the kind where the food was reheated, the kids were over it, and the best ideas of the week came out sideways over a plate of leftover roast chicken. We started recording because friends kept telling us, "you should write this down." This is us, mostly making good on that.

Why the name?

Leftovers, for us, are a metaphor and a meal. They're what we make of the things we already have — yesterday's roast, last week's argument, the lessons we keep relearning, the love that keeps showing up after a hard day. Making something out of leftovers is, at its core, an act of faith.
